Why can't I use calendar commands right away?

You need to connect your Google Calendar account first. Use `!calendar auth` and follow the authorization link. After you approve access on Google's website, you'll be able to manage your calendar through the bot.

The authorization link isn't working - what should I do?

The link will first take you to the Saasis website, which then redirects to Google for authorization. Make sure you're clicking the complete link. If it's not working, try copying and pasting the entire URL into your browser. The link expires after 10 minutes, so use `!calendar auth` again if needed. If this does not work, feel free to submit a bug report with `!bug`.

Why do I need to set a timezone before creating events?

Without a timezone, the bot can't accurately schedule events at the right time for you. For example, "3pm tomorrow" means different things in New York vs. Tokyo. Set your timezone once with `!timezone set America/New_York` (or your location), and all your events will be scheduled correctly.

Can I skip timezone setup and just create events anyway?

Yes - add the word "continue" to your command: `!calendar add continue meeting tomorrow`. However, your events will be created in UTC time, which probably isn't what you want. It's better to spend 10 seconds setting your timezone first.

Why does "schedule meeting tomorrow" create an all-day event instead of at a specific time?

You need to include a time in your command. Try `!calendar add meeting tomorrow at 3pm` instead. The bot needs both a date and time to create a timed event.

Can I create recurring events?

Yes! Use natural language like `!calendar add team standup every Monday at 9am`. The bot understands weekly, daily, monthly, and yearly recurrence patterns.

I said "in 2 hours" but the time is wrong - why?

Check your timezone setting with `!timezone info`. If it shows UTC or the wrong timezone, that's why. Use `!timezone set [your timezone]` to fix it, then create the event again.

Why can't the bot find my event when I try to delete it?

The bot searches by event title. Use `!calendar list` first to see your events and their exact names, then use that exact title when deleting. For example, if the event is called "Team Standup", use `!calendar delete Team Standup`.

I have multiple events with the same name - which one will be deleted?

The bot will show you the matching events and ask you to be more specific. Try adding the date to your command: `!calendar delete team meeting Friday`.

Can I modify an event's time without recreating it?

Yes, use `!calendar update move dentist appointment to Friday at 2pm`. The bot will find your dentist appointment and change its time for you.

I keep getting "authorization expired" errors - what's happening?

Your Google Calendar connection has expired (this happens automatically after some time for security). Simply run `!calendar auth` again to reconnect - you'll need to approve access on Google's website again.

How do I completely disconnect my Google Calendar?

Use `!calendar revoke`. This removes the bot's access to your calendar. For extra security, you can also manually revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Why does `!calendar list` only show some of my events?

By default, it shows the next 5 events in the next 3 days. For a different time range, be specific: `!calendar list next week` or `!calendar list today`.

The times shown don't match what I see in Google Calendar - why?

Check your timezone setting with `!timezone info`. The bot displays times in your configured timezone. If it's set to UTC but you're in EST, times will appear 5 hours off.

What information from my calendar can the bot see?

The bot can see event titles, times, locations, and descriptions for any events on your connected Google Calendar. It only accesses your calendar when you run commands - it's not constantly monitoring.

Does the bot store my calendar events?

No. The bot fetches events from Google when you ask for them, but doesn't permanently store your event information. It only stores your authorization credentials (encrypted) so it can access your calendar when needed.

Who else can see my calendar through the bot?

Only you. Your calendar authorization is tied to your specific user account on this platform (Discord, Telegram, etc.). Other users cannot access or see your events, even if they use the same bot.

The bot says "Google Calendar service unavailable" - what now?

This is usually temporary. Wait a minute and try your command again. If it persists beyond 5 minutes, Google Calendar's API might be experiencing issues - check https://status.cloud.google.com.

Why does the bot take so long to respond sometimes?

Complex commands like searching for events or creating recurring events take longer to process. Natural language processing also adds a few seconds. If it takes more than 15 seconds, try the command again - it might have timed out.

I set my timezone but events still have wrong times - what's wrong?

After setting your timezone, you need to create new events. Existing events keep their original times. Delete the incorrect event and create it again after setting your timezone.

The bot didn't understand my natural language request - what should I do?

Try being more specific with dates and times. Instead of "soon", say "in 30 minutes". Instead of "this afternoon", say "today at 2pm". The bot works best with explicit time expressions.
