Can I watch games that aren't on sale right now?

Yes! You can add any game from the Steam store to your watchlist, regardless of whether it's currently on sale. The plugin will track the price from when you add it and notify you if it drops later.

Why can't I find my game when I try to stop watching it?

Make sure you're typing at least part of the game's exact name. The plugin searches for games that match what you type, so "Forza" will find "Forza Horizon 5", but "racing game" won't. Use `!steam list` to see the exact names of games in your watchlist.

What happens if a game I'm watching gets removed from Steam?

The price check for that game will fail silently. The game will stay in your watchlist, but you won't receive updates about it. You can remove it manually using `!steam unwatch`.

How often will I get notified about price changes?

You'll only get a notification when a game's price drops below what it was the last time the plugin checked (every 6 hours). If the price goes up or stays the same, you won't receive a notification.

Will I get notified about every small price change?

Yes, any price drop will trigger a notification, even if it's just a few cents. The notification will show you the percentage decrease so you can decide if the discount is worth it.

Can I check prices manually without waiting for notifications?

Yes! Use `!steam check` to get current prices for all games in your watchlist right now, without waiting for the automatic 6-hour check cycle.

If I remove and re-add a game, will it remember the old price?

No. When you remove a game and add it back, it will treat the current price as the new "initial price" and only notify you about drops from that point forward.

Why does the price shown differ from what I see on Steam?

The plugin fetches prices from the US Steam store (indicated by the 'cc=us' parameter). If you're in a different region, your local Steam prices may vary due to regional pricing, currency exchange rates, or sales that are region-specific.

Can I watch games in my own currency?

The plugin currently displays all prices in US dollars ($). Even if you're in another country, the prices shown will be in USD based on the US Steam store.

What does "Could not find game information" mean?

This usually means either: 1. The game doesn't exist on Steam 2. The game isn't available in the US region 3. The game is age-restricted or region-locked 4. You provided an invalid URL or app ID

Why did my watchlist show some games as "failed checks"?

Failed checks happen when the Steam API is temporarily unavailable, the game was removed from the store, or there was a network issue. The plugin will try again during the next automatic check cycle (6 hours later).
